Day to day itinerary
Meet with one of our representatives who will assist you in clearing customs as you disembark the plane. From there, a seamless shuttle will take you to Arusha, the epicenter for safaris in Tanzania. Check in at a safari lodge or midrange offering comfortable en-suite rooms. Depending on the time of day, you may go back to relax or head out to explore Arusha's rich culture, as it retains all the charm of a small city. In Arusha, Tanzania, your evening is open to relaxation and dinner options. After dinner, are you free to spend your evening how you choose? To kick start the safari, you will be given a detailed briefing on what to expect, describing the private game drives, accommodations at the Lodge or tented camps, and key attractions within the parks. Dinner is available but at your own expense. For a personal recommendation, don’t miss the lodge’s restaurant, which specializes in Tanzanian and International dishes.
You may have noted that we are indeed spending the last night in safari lodges near the national parks, which is deliberate so that your energy is fully restored.

Activities: A Briefing On The Itinerary And Transfer From the Airport
Drive Time: 2 hours
After a healthy meal for breakfast, proceed to the private 4x4 assigned for you to drive to Tarangire National Park, which is a 2 hour drive through the Maasai plains. Tarangire is well known for having the largest elephant herds plus an array of wildlife. It has an area of 2850 km². Equip yourself with food for the day because a game drive of the Tarangire National Park will take the better part of the day (a private one). During the driving portion of the game, view giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, and even more than 550 species of birds like the ashy starling. All of this while the guide gives you details about nature and ecology during the education part of the drive. Later on, check yourself into the local midrange lodge situated close to the park. This lodge has rooms with an ensuite washroom plus views of the savannah. Over the dinner table, recollect the adventures of the day in the gentle embrace of Mother Nature while enjoying her delicious cuisine.

After Breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a 330 square km park famous for tree-climbing lions, and its captivating algae lake lined with sociable flamingos. Dive into the woods populated with acacia trees while observing hippos, giraffes, and baboons as well. Don't be surprised if you come across 400 bird species, including pelican and hornbill, your game guide will get you acquainted. Later on, overcome with calorific energy, indulge yourself in a flamingo picnic beside the lake while eating before returning to more wildlife driving until nature yawns. Drive onward past the enchanting woodlands until you arrive at a lodge in the bush of Karatu. Here, you retreat to an en-suite room with harmonious surroundings. Enjoy dinner, multi-balanced Tanzanian + some other international food, then sleep in anticipation of the Serengeti safari.

After breakfast, your safari in the Serengeti National Park will kick off with a drive to the UNESCO-listed park, spanning 14,763 km² with over 3 million animals to see. Along the way, stop at an archaeological site with a brief guided tour about early humans. Arrive at a mid-range tented camp in Seronera, which is wildlife-rich. The camp features en-suite tents and a warm atmosphere. After lunch, undertake a private afternoon game drive to look for leopards and lions alongside the Great Wildebeest Migration (July - September). Your guide's experience enhances the Serengeti experience and adds context to the cycles of life within the ecosystems. The camp will await with a fireside dinner under the stars with the Serengeti wilds as your backdrop.

Spend the morning with the Hadzabe, a hunter-gatherer tribe, joining a mock hunting expedition to learn their ancient survival techniques and bow-and-arrow skills. Visit the Datoga, skilled blacksmiths, to observe their metalworking and pastoral traditions. Enjoy a picnic lunch by Lake Eyasi, soaking in the serene landscape. Return to the midrange lodge in Karatu for a brief rest, then drive 3 hours to Arusha, stopping briefly for souvenirs if time permits.
